Parliament Excursion

On Tuesday 25 September, all Year Six students will be visiting the State Parliament, the Electoral Education Centre and the Constitutional Centre of Western Australia. We are really looking forward to this fascinating opportunity to see our government in action.

We do need some parent helpers to come along and help supervise this excursion. If you are available on the 25th of September and would like to spend a day learning more about politics, elections and lawmaking, please let us know. Just send me an email, leave a comment or send me a note via your child’s diary. It should be a great day!

Deputy Principal role

As many of you will be aware, I have been asked to act in the Deputy Principal’s role for two days a week while Ms Leanne White is on long service leave. I am looking forward to this opportunity but am also pleased that I will continue to have a classroom role teaching the wonderful students in LA31.

From the 27th of this month, Ms Nicole Nelson will be the LA31 teacher each Thursday and Friday. Nicole is a highly experienced teacher who has worked with many of the students in LA 31 before. She has a track record of working collaboratively and I am confident that, with our combined efforts, we will continue to provide a high quality education for the children in our class.

Please direct any queries about your child’s education to myself or Ms Nelson. As tandem teachers, we will meet regularly to ensure that we are both fully aware of the educational needs of your child.
