Adding decimals

The Year Six students are currently learning about adding decimals. This latest video provides a few examples of decimal addition, from very simple to quite challenging.

The number ten is the key to our decimal number system. Today’s video tutorial shows how to multiply and divide by the number ten. This may be easy when working with whole numbers but watch out for those decimals!

Maths tutorial (Part-part-whole diagrams)

This one is for students. Part-part-whole diagrams are an easy way to see the relationship between addition (plus) and subtraction (takeaway). Understanding this relationship is the key to concepts such as algebra.
